Q: I am just starting out. Do I need branding?
A: Any business that wants a strong start out of the gates will benefit greatly from establishing their branding right away. People will be more apt to show interest in your company if you present them with a professional image. It helps to instantly build trust, and shows you care about your company and are confident in what you have to offer. Professional branding is a crucial first step in launching a successful company.
Q: How does the branding process work?
A: The process starts off with a casual chat over coffee, to get a really clear idea of what the project involves. We’re happy to come to you for this meeting, traveling as far North as Campbell River and as far South as Ladysmith on Vancouver Island. When face to face meetings are not possible, consultations can be held by phone or Skype. We’ll discuss design, project priority and sequence (if more than one piece is needed), colour and design preferences, budget, business goals for the branding and anything else pertinent to the branding project. After this initial meeting, you’ll be provided with a complete estimate for your projects (including printing costs as well, if you need printing organized) which will be emailed to you for your approval before we begin.
Upon approval of the estimate, timelines are set for the first piece that will be designed. Typically, logo and business cards come first, and then subsequent designs will follow in the priority sequence chosen by you.
Q: What will my branding cost?
A: Tailfeather Graphic Design offers a wide variety of services and custom design packages. To determine an accurate estimate for your project, a consultation in person, over the phone, Skype or email is needed. One hour consultations are complimentary, and a complete estimate is emailed to you for your approval before the design process begins. Please contact us to schedule your consultation.
Q: How long will it take to get my branding done?
A: Typically, your first round of proofs for any given project will be emailed to you within one week of Tailfeather receiving all of the information needed to begin. All projects include 3 rounds of proofs, for refinement and reaching an approved design. The length of time needed for this proofing process depends on your availability to efficiently provide feedback on the proofs.
Q: Can you accommodate rush orders?
A: Often times, yes. Please contact Tailfeather with your project details, and every effort will be made to deliver on tight project timelines. Under some circumstances, rush fees may apply.
Q: Will I own the graphics when we’ve finished the branding?
A: Yes; once the designs are approved and all balances are paid in full, ownership of the designs are transferred to you.
Q: I am not from your local area. Can I still hire Tailfeather?
A: Absolutely. Geographic location is irrelevant when you hire Tailfeather. Meetings, when necessary, can be conducted via phone or Skype, shipping of printing can be arranged to anywhere, and digital communication makes coordination of all project details easy, regardless of where you are in the world. Tailfeather’s client list includes clients from across BC, Canada and the US.
Q: I want to have Tailfeather do the design, but prefer to coordinate the printing myself. Can you accommodate this?
A: Yes. Tailfeather will gladly prepare all files for printing and supply them to you after we reach a final approval, if you choose to coordinate the printing on your own.
